The Sweet Life Awards

In April 2008, Norm & Zane The Sweet Life LLC., established an award to recognize and honor those who have given exceptional service in contributing to the cake decorating world. An inductee promotes ICES, cake shows, cake decorating, and the

sugar arts through many different means.

To be considered for the award, a potential nominee will have shown encouragement and devotion to the sugar arts through teaching classes, demonstrating at events, sponsoring and promoting events, contributions to teachers and cake shows.

Hall of Fame inductee may be an author,

may have introduced a new product or technique that is shared by many, or may have introduced cake decorating to others. In the end,

the inductee has shared in such a way that

other decorators have been able to grow.               Service Award inductee has worked in many capacities on behalf of the cake decorating world; this is a person who is behind the scenes.                                                                  International Hall of Fame inductee has the same requirements as a Hall of Fame  inductee, but this person is an international and he or she

must live outside the United States.

If you know someone who should be considered

for this award, please contact:

Chef Norman R. Davis CMSA or Chef Zane Beg at

Sponsored Charity

Serve Our Willing Warriors provides our country's    recovering wounded, ill, or injured Warriors, and their families, with support and programs that positively affect the well-being, recuperation, and lives of Military Service Members undergoing medical treatment or therapy. Our flagship program is the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run. The Retreat is an 11,000-sq. foot, ADA-accessible home on 37-acres in Haymarket, VA. It offers six-day respite stays during which Warriors and their families and caregivers can temporarily escape hospital environments, exhausting recovery regimens, and day-to-day demands to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with each other and their support networks. We host one family at a time. Warriors incur no cost. The project benefits Warriors confronted with years of medical procedures or therapy for injuries resulting from their involvement in war-related actions. Loss of limbs. Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Marital disharmony. Children with behavior issues. Suicidal ideations. These are a handful of challenges that could devastate Warriors. Fortunately, they are also the challenges this project helps Warriors overcome. In late 2017 we received a $300,000 restricted grant given by the PenFed Foundation to build a smaller second retreat home on property which will allow us to host an additional 380 guests per year. visit:
